Metropolitan Area Rate Structure
Current rates regulated by the Institut Metropolità del Taxi (IMET) for the urban service of Barcelona.
The T-1 rate is applicable on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to the scope of taxi service provision within the metropolitan area of Barcelona.
The price of the journey is calculated by adding the amount of the flag drop plus the price per kilometer of the race or the waiting time.

Scope of application of urban rates
Urban rates are applicable when trips are made between municipalities in the metropolitan area of Barcelona or in municipalities that have signed service provision agreements with the AMB (Area Metropolitana de Barcelona) for the taxi service.
Other concepts
Mediation companies must inform the user of the conditions of the service (minimum and maximum amount from the pick-up location to the destination) prior to contracting. These conditions must have been communicated to the IMET.
